Certass Registered Installers
HessianCole are Certass registered installers allowing us to self certify replacement roof window installations. Although at time of installation often overlooked building regulations is often requested during any future sale of the property. Certass and FENSA members should provide certificates following installation of replacement windows/skylights/rooflights.
All Certass competent persons scheme members are regularly audited, both on-site and at business premises. Certass also check our business processes and procedures to make sure that we meet the requirements of the Government-endorsed, UKAS-accredited competent persons scheme standards.

VELUX Planning & Building Regulations
Do you need planning approval for your VELUX Window/Skylight?
In most cases you do not need planning approval to install a new VELUX rooflight /skylight or Sun Tunnel.
Rooflights are considered under Class C of the GPDO 2015 (General Permitted Development Order).
We carry out new installations that involve building regulations approval, planning applications and listed buildings consent.
We have experience in submitting planning applications and obtaining approval from your local authority.

A new build project HessianCole worked on has picked up Home of the Year at the Telegraph Homebuilding & Renovating awards.
