Standard pitched roof VELUX windows can be installed as low as 15 degrees and we do not recommend going lower than this.
If you opt for a recessed flashing to allow the window to sit flush with tiles/slates the minimum pitch would be 20 degrees.
VELUX also have a window designed for low pitch roofs and this when installed with the correct flashing kit can take the pitch down to 10 degrees. Its also important to ensure the tiles used on the roof are suitable for the roof pitch. We have completed many successful installs using the VELUX Low Pitch windows and Plannum Low Pitch tiles from La Escandella. When installed correctly with use of clips, verge tiles and a sufficient overlap they can go down to 10 degrees.
